Spring has finally arrived in Lincoln and around campus there has been an influx of new trends. We can finally say goodbye to those heavy winter coats and hello to sunglasses, cropped jackets and soft, pastel hues. Let’s take a look at what you’ve had to offer this March:
Spotted in the library was third year psychology student Melissa, wearing a major trend for spring/summer 14. Melissa’s cropped lilac jacket is from River Island and new for this year. The Chanel inspired piece has been spotted all over the catwalks with variations in all pastel shades, patterns and tweeds. Melissa’s looks smart and stylish teamed with a plain black cami and skinny jeans.
Business and management student Elva was heading into the main building looking super-stylish. The second year was showing off some serious arm candy with her pea green Prada miniature tote as the focal point of her outfit. She kept the rest simple with a textured white t-shirt, leather-look leggings and a hooded cape jacket thrown over the top.
Oliver, first year psychology student, was leaving the MHT building in a great ensemble; boys who are struggling to stay stylish in between seasons, take note. The rolled up jeans, jumper and sunglasses combination looks stylish and relaxed without trying too hard and Oliver’s matching satchel, shoes and jumper ensure he looks coordinated and on trend- an easy way for boys to look summer-chic.
Second year fashion student Suzie was in the architecture building showing you can still rock spring trends even if pastels aren’t your thing. Suzie’s fedora is bang on trend for going from winter to spring and a well-placed hat always adds a fashion edge to any outfit, especially a plain smock like Suzie’s. The leather jacket and ankle boots make sure the look is edgy and fashionable without being too girly.
