Some subjects with upcoming dissertation hand-ins have had their deadlines changed to next Monday as a result of the disruptions.

Meanwhile, technical issues at the University Library have now been resolved, with normal services and the inter-library loan service being restored.

The university said: “Our ICT systems were affected by a power outage this morning.

“Staff worked hard to manage the process of restoring all systems as soon as possible and the majority of teaching continued as normal.

“All students with imminent assignment deadlines will receive an extra day’s extension for submission.

“Thanks again for your support and patience with this matter.”

The university’s ICT department is now asking those who are still experiencing problems to reboot their machine and then retry accessing the system.

Those continuing to have issues using any University systems being advised to  contact the ICT Service Desk on 01522 886500 or ICT@lincoln.ac.uk.
