A short animated film is being broadcast on Lincoln High Street in the evenings leading up to Valentine’s Day.

The video includes images of Lincoln landmarks like the Cathedral

All You Need is Love will be projected on the outside of House of Fraser from 4pm to 9pm between February 10-19.

The film is focused on things that people love, and comprised of photos and images sent in by over 200 Lincoln locals.

The project was made by the Different Light Collective in collaboration with Lincoln BIG and Lincoln Creates.

Lincoln Creates offered a £5,000 grant in support of the film, with emphasis placed on the importance of commissioning local art and culture.

Project coordinator Olivia Dexter said: “We’ve had work from schools and artists’ drawings, of loved ones and pets. I’m an animal lover, so the pet ones have been really nice.

The Different Light Collective created Valentines-themed graphics for the event

“We’ve not had anything like this in the city centre before, and I think it’ll look really striking.”

Ms Dexter described House of Fraser and Lincoln High Street to be a “great location” and “the perfect canvas” for art.

“We’re super excited for this to go ahead.”

Lincoln BIG will also be organising a light display along the high street and a Valentines Trail, with more information available on the Lincoln BIG Facebook page.
