Eye makeup is supposed to make your eyes more noticeable, in other words make them stand out more. You can do this by using different makeup techniques, which can vary from basic to the more complicated.
It’s fun to play with makeup, but it’s even more fun when you manage to get a result that you are happy with. The feeling of pride when you nail a winged eyeliner (am I right?)
To be able to achieve the best result when it comes to eye-makeup (which can at times be tricky to apply), it’s in my experience worth to go up in price on some products. Here’s what type of eye-makeup I think is worth spending more money on.
Eye-shadow palette:
Applying eyeshadow is such a great way to bring attention to your eyes, and by choosing the right shade it can really intensify them. To be able to experience this great effect you want an eyeshadow that can last throughout the day and not look faded.
At the moment there’s many affordable eyeshadow palettes out there, but in my experience it can be worth going up in price when it comes to this type of eye makeup. An eyeshadow palette can last you for quite a while as well, so if you decide to invest in a bit pricier one it will definitely be worth your money.
If you are on the lookout for a strong and pigmented eyeshadow palette, I recommend checking out brands like BH cosmetics, Morphe and Urban Decay.
Eyeliner:
The eyeliner has recently become a very popular makeup tool, and it tends to be a girl’s go to look when she wants to feel glamorous on a night out. Getting that winged eyeliner to look on point though is often easier said than done. It’s therefore in my experience sometimes worth to go up in price on an eyeliner.
I would recommend to check out pen eyeliners. They are so much easier to hold steady, which can really make the difference when applying eyeliner. As an example, brands like Nyx and BH cosmetics have good ones on offer.
